Springtime in Paris..........

I had to pop over to Paris for a meeting on Thursday morning, so we decided to make a little holiday out of it and drive. We caught the ferry from Newhaven, as it's closer to us than Dover. The downside is that it takes 4 hours to get across. It was a nice boat and very clean. The food was as you would expect, expensive.

We set the sat nav for our hotel, a Premier Class on the outskirts of the city and set off. It was great to be back in France. We were both shouting out 'Auchan, InterMarche' as we were driving along.

The check in at the hotel was painless, they really are great value. 50€ per night for a room with bathroom that is 15 minutes by train from the centre of Paris. I don't think that you would find that in London.

Thursday the meeting went very well and was over by 10.40 so we had the day to explore and eat and drink.....

We visited the Eiffel Tower. We wanted to go up, but it is half term and the queues went on for miles, so instead I had a hot dog and Wendy had a waffle. I took a touristy picture of her at the base of the tower.

I will do this is two parts, as I am crap at setting out and have a few more pictures.....
