Today we went to
Villeneuvette, on a whim, because we were bored and had bad cabin fever after days and days of endless rain. It's a cool place, this Villeneuvette. It was built in the late 19th century, around a factory. Some chap had the idea of building accommodation for his factory workers. It's now a funky, chic place to live, I think. We walked around the town, peered into the abandoned and crumbling factory and met two laid-back donkeys,
Ding

and Dong.

I gave Dong a bit of grooming as his fur was full of burrs. He seemed most grateful and gave me a soppy look. We shall go back and see them again. After that, we went to the Super U in Clermont L'Herault, just 5km down the road, because they have a nice Food of the World section and we picked up some Heinz baked beans. Not something that is readily found but definitely an essential part of Sunday morning brunch.
