This is Tower Bridge being built, it was finished in 1894.
Mr Larkin lowers himself from a rope to clean the face of Big Ben, the famous clock on the Houses of Parliament, 4th March 1930The photos feature in an exhibition marking the launch of the book London Through Lens. The show will be on display at the Getty Images Gallery London from August 21 until September 27.
