It has come to my mind how strange it is that we are involved in a war to bring democracy to Iraq, while at home we seem to be slipping into a police state. We are not allowed to demonstrate within a mile of parliament. And when there is a protest march those in attendance are photographed and kept in one place, hemmed in by police and not allowed to move for about eight hours. No toilets, no drink or food. And if you had the temerity to photograph the police they took your camera under the 'Anti terrorism act'. Saddam would have been proud. What next, the army opening fire on the unruly mob?. United Kingdom 2009........ what will the 2012 Olympics be like ?.
