Stare.....

Stare, it is the only way to educate your eye, and more . Stare, pry, listen, eavesdrop.
Die knowing something, you are not here long.

I agree with all that, Martin. I have many interests, drawing and painting being two of them...and I really need to closely observe someone when I'm drawing and then painting them. I like to talk to them as well to capture something of the essence of them in the portrait. Come for a visit, Martin, and if you are not that interested in the story of my wildlife garden (I know gardens are not everyone's cup of tea), you could look at my two photo blogs, from time to time, or my new paintings:)

Nonie

I have learned one great lesson, always wear clean pants when you go out...................

Once in a while, I eavesdrop so unashamedly that I laugh at the jokes and join in the conversation.

I suppose this is awfully rude. People are usually surprisingly nice about it though.

Z..... A belated welcome back. My week would have been lifted had I known. I am the same, but being a chap you have to watch out as a little biff on the hooter might be in the offing. We don't all have the glamour of the eye........

Hello! I've popped over from Lettuce's blog!

I've just read your posts for this month. Makes me nostalgic. Many moons ago I used to live on the Fulham Road and the Kings Road was my haunt. It's funny though, all those roads between Kings Road and the river are surprisingly green and pleasant and cottagey/country like don't you think?

So you are moving to Sussex? Which bit? Before we moved from London to Suffolk, we used to come to Aldburgh for the day with all the other DFL's - now when we are in Aldeburgh or Southwold we can laugh at them having to pack up and drive back to all that traffic!

ramblingwoman... hello. Thanks for popping by. I agree the streets down to the river are like being in the country, I think that's why they sell for about 5 million !. I am moving to east sussex, bexhill if all goes well. I like suffolk, I think I was one of the people driving back to London !.
